Golf is going bigger

People who didn’t play golf in 2019 said they are "very interested" in playing golf on a golf course. A growing number of new players are ready to flood the golf field. But Golf sports is really hard to learn, when I went to the drive range. I saw many people confusing about the swing moves and complicated rules. Swing app will help them getting into Golf field in the easiest way.

Problems

For many individuals who are new to the sport of golf, three key challenges can pose significant barriers to entry. These challenges can make it challenging for individuals to improve their skills and fully participate in the sport.

Time
  • The majority of golf enthusiasts have limited free time, often only available after work hours.
    Budget
    • Due to financial constraints, many individuals are unwilling to invest significant funds in hiring a personal trainer.
      Accessibility
      • The inconvenience of traveling to a golf course for lessons discourages many individuals from pursuing the sport.

      Potential solutions

To address the challenges faced by beginners in golf, there are some potential solutions that aim to streamline the learning process :

      1. Time: Simplifying the data and improving teaching efficiency to help golfers make the most of their limited free time.
      1. Budget: Utilizing multimedia teaching methods to reduce the cost of hiring a personal trainer.
      1. Accessibility: Create a more realistic and effective learning experience.

      The competition

I chose 2 golf teaching app that came up most often in market. My goal was to compare what features they had to offer in order to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

      Me and my golf

      • A wealth of  golf technical information
      • Different coaches are available
      • Online teaching
      Cons:
      • Only videos
      • Lack of specificity

      Golf channel

      Pros:
      • Various kinds of golf information
      • Information is updated quickly
      Cons:
      • Too much information on the interface leads to confusion
      • The teaching content is relatively weak

      Expert Interview

In order to gain a deeper understanding of golf coaching, I sought out the expertise of a professional to provide insight into the most effective strategies for enhancing one's golf skills. The expert offered valuable advice on the importance of having a structured learning plan, avoiding information overload, and focusing on consistent practice to improve technique and strategy:

Golf is a very diverse game, different philosophies and approaches from different people. Jumping from one video to another might confuse your focus, and ends up delaying your progress.

Online lessons or videos are definitely an option, but remember, it’s better to stick to one plan and take a step by step approach.

      User Surveys

I noticed some common themes and patterns among the survey responses.

      Information overload:

With a plethora of information available on golf technique and strategy, beginners feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start or which sources to trust.

      Inconsistent learning process:

Without a structured approach to learning golf, beginners struggle to make progress and experience frustration due to a lack of clear direction or goals.

      Location barrier:

Access to golf courses, equipment, and coaching may be limited in some areas, making it difficult for beginners to get started and progress in their learning journey.
